Two Vintners Legit 2014
Bordeaux som i gamle dage. Fra Washington State altså.
91 points Robert ParkerA blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the 2014 Legit has classic red and black currant fruit characteristics intermixed with notions of cedary spice, leafy herbs and graphite. Medium to full-bodied, supple and beautifully textured, it's a solid effort that will dish out tons of pleasure over the coming 6-7 years.Unquestionably, some of the best values in the state are coming from Woodinville-based Two Vintners. These are unabashedly ripe, sexy, consumer-friendly wines that are just a joy to drink. They continue to grow the lineup, and they're now releasing a number of both Rhone and Bordeaux variety releases, all of which are noteworthy. You can count me as a fan, and I drink more than a glass or two at restaurants while I'm working in Washington State.
91 points Wine EnthusiastThis wine is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon (83%), with the balance smidgens of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The aromas bring notes of barrel spice, vanilla, herb, cherry and red and black fruit. The flavors are full and bold, with burly but not unyielding tannins giving support. Put it up against a juicy steak or give it some time in the cellar.
90 points Vinousfrom multiple fruit sources; aged in 70% new oak, the highest percentage for the Two Vintners wines; this wine is only being released this fall): Bright ruby-red. Sexy aromas of cassis, black cherry and licorice accented by crushed-rock minerality. At once pliant and penetrating, showing a savory restraint to its flavors of dark berries, licorice, sorrel and sage. This subtly sweet wine has a lot going on. Finishes with suave tannins and excellent persistence and lift.
