En nebbiolo fra Roeros rullende bakker. Hvor i verden får man en mere kompleks aroma i en vin? Srü er en fremragende, kalkrig mark, hvis druer i Francescos hænder bliver til ren magi. Kan drikkes ung, men udvikler sig også med tiden.

Roero er Piemontes andet gyldne område på den anden side af Tanaro-floden. Langt fra Barolo, men alligevel med de samme dyder i form af dyb aromatik og dyb historie. Vine til løssluppen snak og stille eftertanke. Francesco Monchiero er den visionære vinmager, stadig med assistance fra faren Marco og resten af familien. 35 hektar dyrkes med blikket stift rettet mod bæredygtighed og at formidle det piemontesiske terroir så saftigt som muligt. Det har foreløbig resulteret i en stjerne i Gambero Rosso, hvor man også har modtaget de maksimale 3 glas intet mindre end 17 gange!
